Project data includes risks, issues, actions, schedule, resource allocation, stage gates, assumptions, change requests, decisions, lessons learned and project financials.

Project Overview

Summaries of the project risks, issues, action, milestones and tasks are shown.  If the selected project is a program (meaning that it has associated sub-projects) the sub-projects will appear in a list.

The project health is represented by a doughnut chart with 6 equal segments. Each segment represents an aspect of the project’s health, and is either green, amber or red. The overall project health is calculated automatically using the six segments.

Project Summary - Word Processor

Clicking on the “Word Processor…” button in the Project Overview screen creates a detailed project summary in the word processor.  It includes the summary information shown in the overview, the comments, risks, issues, schedule and financials.

The word processor document can be saved as a PDF, rtf, or docx (MS Word) document etc. You can also save it as a PDF attached to an email (as shown in this print preview screen).

Project Comments - Word Processor

Project comments are created using a word processor, that is fully integrated within the application.

Project Summary - MS PowerPoint

Clicking on the “MS PowerPoint…” button in the Project Overview screen creates a detailed project summary in a PowerPoint presentation.   It includes the summary information shown in the overview, the comments, risks, issues, schedule and financials.

Kanban Board

You can create new tasks, and then drag and drop them as they move from step to step.

The task headings can be edited by your administrator.

The color stripe indicates if the task is overdue (red), due in the next week (amber) or still has at least a week to go (green).

Schedule

The schedule screen provides a Microsoft Project-like user experience for project schedule management.

It generates a schedule for the provided list of tasks, durations, and constraints and presents it in a Gantt Chart. The chart then plots the tasks to be performed on the vertical axis, and the time intervals on the horizontal axis. Moreover, it provides additional support for managing resources, constraints, dependencies, styles etc.

You can create a schedule using this screen or import an existing schedule from MS Project.

Resource Allocation

As a simpler alternative to allocating resources to each task in a project schedule, a resource can be allocated to the project for a period of time, at a specified level of utilisation.

Project Financials

The project expenditure per account for the current financial year (actuals, forecast, adjusted forecast) and budgets for up to 4 years from the current financial year are shown.

Each account is associated with a project and is also grouped into a cost type. The cost types are Resources, Contracts or Other.

Risks and Actions

To calculate the risk ratings, both for the current situation and the residual rating (after the mitigation has been implemented) select the likelihood and consequence for current and residual risk.

You can also create one or more actions that will be associated with this risk.

Actions can also be associated with issues, or they can be independent of either risks or issues.
